Matt Thompson is a Raleigh native who has been in the foodservice industry since he was 15 years old. A Johnson & Wales graduate, Matt draws his versatile style from all over the world but mostly his southern roots and the Italian cuisine he grew up around. He has refined his skills at premier local clubs; Hope Valley Country Club; Brier Creek Country Club, where he was Executive Sous Chef; and The State Club where he was Executive Chef from 2008-2014. Matt now heads up all food & beverage operations here at 214 Martin Street as Executive Chef and F&B Director. His career accomplishments include being on the 2013 Fire in The Triangle winning team and competing for the State Championship in the Final Fire 2014.
